Psychotherapy

Psychotherapeutic work is a way of truly valuing yourself, whether you are new to this process, or have been on the road of self-discovery for quite some time. Being a therapist and offering you the space to listen to and learn about yourself is a privilege. Listening to both your words and the feelings within them, I will meet you where you are, honoring your unique path and your individual process. Perhaps you are at a crossroads in your life, staring at a blank canvas, or feeling confused or stuck in some way. Or you may find that a relationship isn’t quite working for you. Maybe you are experiencing feelings you thought you were “over” yet find they are stirring once again. Together, we will open up a conversation using a combination of talk therapy and new ways to listen to the wisdom of the body, which is faster than talk therapy alone. Over time, the relationship we create can serve as a touchstone for you on your path. Let's discover together how you can lead the life you most desire and deserve.

By taking a deeper look inside, things begin to change, and your path and purpose become clearer. We will bring what is under the surface into awareness, and integrate your past so that it is no longer an obstacle in the present. Paying attention to the more difficult emotions isn't easy, but learning how to do just that leads to transformation, allowing feelings of contentment and joy to emerge.

Thinking outside the box and being as creative as I possibly can (along with lots of compassion and humor), supports you in finding more of your authentic self. With 25+ years of experience as a therapist and a movement practitioner, the work we will do together will allow you to trust in your ability to make life-long, meaningful changes that lead to a more balanced, fulfilling life.

If you have any questions for me, please email me at lorilynnmeader@gmail.com

The first phone consultation, free of charge, is an opportunity to get to know one another. We can decide together if we feel like a good fit and whether or not we would like to set up a full session. In terms of my fee, we can discuss this in our consultation.

If any of this speaks to you, I look forward to hearing from you. Enter into a new, different, deeper conversation with yourself, and find your way home.

Testimonials

“Lori Lynn creates a safe space for an emotion, actually all of my emotions, to show up. What used to feel overwhelming, even traumatizing, now feels manageable and I trust I have the courage to allow it all.”

“In my work with Lori Lynn, I feel like we're a team. I've been in therapy before so I know how important it is to feel comfortable with my therapist. Feelings bubble up and they might be intense or unexpected, and it feels reassuring knowing I'm not alone with them.”

“I worked with Lori Lynn for many years and she helped me find my way through some very dark and difficult times. I continue to feel grateful to her and the way she listened, how she exuded warmth and how I could actually feel her belief in me.”
